Grow with our team as a Network Engineer at the Furniture Mart USA Corporate Office in Sioux Falls, SD!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Full-Time (40 hrs/wk)
- Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other networking systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and manage network security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configuration files.
- Conduct regular network assessments and capacity planning to accommodate growth.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on network-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement of the network infrastructure.
- Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
- Experience with network hardware (CISCO, Fortinet).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Understanding of network security best practices and technologies (e.g., VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet FCSS, FCP or FCX) are a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
