- Develop and maintain retail pricing strategy, including price-point architecture, margin targets, and price-change governance across categories.
- Analyze cost changes from vendors and recommend retail price adjustments to protect margin while remaining competitive.
- Maintain the product lineup structure (good-better-best tiers, price-family gaps, item counts per category) and flag lineup gaps or overlaps to merchandising leadership.
- Partner with rebuyers on new item setup, cost updates, and item deactivation to ensure pricing accuracy at the point of entry.
- Conduct competitive price benchmarking and market analysis to maintain unique pricing models geographically.
- Model the margin and lineup impact of proposed assortment or pricing changes before implementation.
- Maintain pricing and lineup documentation/reporting for use by the VP of Merchandising and category teams.
- Audit live pricing for accuracy and consistency across systems and channels.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related analytical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in pricing analysis, merchandise planning, or category management; retail or furniture industry experience preferred.
- Strong Excel modeling skills; experience with pricing or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
- Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, with sound judgment on margin trade-offs.
- Ability to translate pricing/lineup analysis into clear recommendations for non-analyst stakeholders.
- High attention to detail; comfortable owning pricing accuracy across a large item count.
- Self-directed; capable of prioritizing analytical work without day-to-day oversight of a team.
