Make a positive difference by directing and managing the delivery and warehouse functions at our Ashley & Furniture Mart in Duluth, MN. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, proven leader!
- Perform general warehouse duties, including loading and unloading product from trucks and/or racks. Move furniture in/out of showroom as needed.
- Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Greet and direct customers on where to get assistance loading purchased product into their vehicles.
- Assist customers with loading product into their vehicles.
- Research information and enter data in the computer system.
- Sort and place materials and items on racks, shelves, or showroom floor as directed by management or merchandising staff.
- Assemble orders from receiving or stock for display or customer pick-up.
- May prepare product for shipping to other locations.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed
- Provides direction and leadership
- Drives profitability by ensuring deliveries and processes are done in an efficient and cost- effective manner
- Provides exemplary internal & external customer service
- Ensures adherence to operational and regulatory standards
- Staffs, coaches and develops team members of 8-10 associates
- Proactively identifies, supports, and implements company initiatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety metrics

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to lift in excess of 100 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be personable, with good customer service skills. Must be reliable as to attendance, not being tardy and performing work on a timely basis.
- Some computer skills necessary.
- DOT Medical Card required; must be able to occasionally deliver furniture to customers
