Bill and Carolyn Hinks and Furniture Mart USA received the SDSU Foundation's Philanthropic Family of the Year award Thursday, April 27, 2023. The Philanthropic Family of the Year award recognizes exceptional generosity to diverse causes by a family that serves to inspire others. It has evolved into one of the university's most meaningful recognitions.
Over the years, the Hinks family has invested 2.5 million dollars into SDSU. In presenting the award, the SDSU Foundation played a short video detailing the lives of Bill and Carolyn and their interactions with South Dakota State University.
